In the fall, 2017, Danish design objects and crafts went to Japan and was exhibited at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa as part of the celebration of 150 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Denmark.
The exhibition was curated by Cecilie Manz and the aim of the exhibition was to render a picture of everyday life in Denmark.
Among iconic Danish design furniture, toys, ceramics, clothes, bicycles and much more, the Wire table, designed by architect Ole Schjøll and the Rocking chair, designed by architect Dan Svarth were on display. Both furniture are part of our furniture series, that can be purchased at Kløvermarksvej.
The catalog showing very nice pictures of all the works at the exhibition, including the podium setup (see top picture) with the Wire table in the company of other domestic Danish designs, has just arrived in Denmark.
