In the spring of 2024 April Coffee opened their 3rd coffee shop, the first being the one in Ryesgade, Copenhagen and the second in Seoul.
In this 3rd shop, located on Pilestræde 37 in the city center of Copenhagen, the aim was to create a space for daily walk-ins to get their supply of April products and sample the April coffee. At A. Petersen we were asked to help bring this idea to live with both items from our collection and with custom made interior furniture.
By the end of 2024 April had grown out of their Pilestræde premises, and the choice to move just next door into a bigger space, was made. The purpose being to elevate the customer experience by adding a coffee tasting menu and as the space is bigger; more seatings makes it possible to invite more people in.
The new April Experience opened at Pilestræde 39 in February 2025.
The interior has this time around also been made with furniture from the A. Petersen collection and a few more custom made furniture has been added.
It was also decided to keep the previous space at Pilestræde 37, now turning it into the coffee bar concept SP with a variety of coffee and tea choices and with a selection of baked goods from the esteemed Copenhagen bakery Skipper Bageri.
The SP-interior is designed by A. Petersen and choices of the cognac-coloured leather surfaces on blue coloured metal-bars, as well as the laquered metal stools, are made in close collaboration with Patrik Rolf of April Coffee Roasters.
April Coffee has repeatedly won both Danish and international coffee-championships and along with the critically acclaimed coffee, you are guaranteed an excellent cup of coffee served by professionals.
