Project: A Copenhagen townhouse

Dronningensgade 19 is a new building in the middle of Christianshavn, designed by architects LETH & GORI and finished in 2025. It slots in between its older neighbours without making a fuss. The lines are clean and the proportions feel right, so it sits comfortably in the street.Inside, the rooms are full of daylight, with pine floors and custom-made joinery that make the house feel warm and relaxed.

The A. Petersen furniture fits right in. The Wire Chair makes one room feel cosy and inviting, while the Modul Sofa gets more attention in another, with black leather and mahogany that add depth and character. The Wooden Chair and the Metal Stool bring in a few more materials to play with, so the house feels coherent without being too matchy.

It’s a modern take on the classic Copenhagen townhouse, where old and new live together easily.

The ceramic sculptures are by Hilda Piazzolla and Ole Jensen, and the fiber sculptures are by Lærke Lillelund.
