These terms apply to users of apetersen.dk and are valid for all your future transactions with A. PETERSEN and visits to apetersen.dk. This website is directed exclusively to private individuals and these conditions only apply to sales of all products by apetersen.dk to private individuals.

Violation of rules
A. PETERSEN reserves the right to seek all remedies available at law and in equity for violations of these Terms and conditions, including the right to block access to the site. Individuals violating the restriction of password protected areas of the site may be subject to prosecution.
Force Majeure
If a Force Majeure event occurs, A. PETERSEN’s obligations will be suspended. In such cases, the agreement between you and A. PETERSEN may be partially or fully cancelled by either party. Force Majeure refers to events such as war, civil unrest, government actions, strikes, lockouts, power or internet failures, natural disasters, or other similar situations beyond our control. In these circumstances, A. PETERSEN will do everything possible to resolve the situation and assist our customers as quickly and fully as we can.
Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by Danish law and you agree that the Danish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction of any dispute under this agreement. The laws of your country may be different from the laws in Denmark and there may be additional legal requirements for you to use this website. You must comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations regarding your use of our website.
Shipping and shipping costs
We offer free shipping on all orders in the EU.
If you cannot check out due to shipping limitations, please contact contact@apetersen.dk or find our nearest Retailer.
Our orders ship from our warehouse in Denmark.
Shipping timeframes
Standard handling time for all items in stock is 1-4 business days and is not inclusive of the shipping timeframes provided below. These timeframes are only estimates and actual shipment time may vary due to circumstance.
Denmark: 1-2 days
Nordics: 2-4 days
Rest of Europe, GB, CH, NOR: 3-5 days
All days are quoted in business days. This excludes weekends and holidays.
Please note that these timeframes apply to in-stock items. Made to order and pre-order items ship with different timeframes. We do not guarantee that all the items available at apetersen.dk are in stock at the time of your order. If we are out of stock of any items in your order, we will contact you by phone or by e-mail.
A. PETERSEN reserves the right to select the shipment method that best transports the package. This can occasionally result in longer shipment times, in which case you will be notified.
Delivery
Once the order has been placed, A. PETERSEN will send you an order confirmation, followed by a tracking e-mail once the package has been sent. Your order will be shipped when all items are in stock.
We cannot reroute packages or change the contents of your orders once they have been shipped, so please ensure your shipping details, personal information, and selected items are accurate at the time of checkout.
Home delivery is curbside and must be collected at the front door of your building/home.
Exchanges and returns
During the 30 days following the delivery of your order, you may request a refund of regular-priced items. For items purchased with a promotional voucher or at a discount, you have 14 days to request a refund. All items that are custom, bespoke, or made upon request are a final sale.

A. PETERSEN reserves the right to refuse any returns that have been shipped without a request. Products must be returned in unused condition and in a re-sellable condition.
The cost of return shipping in the case of a refund or exchange is to be covered by the purchaser. We are unable to provide prepaid shipping labels for returns at this time.
Refunds for returns will be made within two weeks from the date of receipt of the product to the original purchaser’s credit card. Note that the original shipping cost, duties, and/or taxes will not be refunded. For countries within the EU, VAT will be included in the refund.

Damaged goods/claims
Please note that many of our products are hand-made and therefore each possess unique characteristics. Small imperfections are often inherent to the natural materials we work with and are what makes each piece unique. However, if your item arrives damaged in any way we urge you to reach out to us immediately.
If your item(s) appear to be damaged or have been broken during transportation, please submit a claim request by contacting contact@apetersen.dk
Damaged goods must be reported immediately upon receipt of goods.
Faulty items will be replaced by the same type of product, subject to availability.
Duties and taxes
If your country is part of the European Union (EU), you will be charged the appropriate tax rate for your country.

We are unable to provide VAT-exempt pricing and formal invoicing after the order has been placed.
For orders outside the EU, you may be charged VAT, import duties, and/or taxes upon receipt of your package, which are levied by customs. apetersen.dk ships your package according to Delivered-at-Place (DAP). This means that we do not collect import duties and/or taxes at checkout, and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such additional charges, you alone are responsible for paying them. Duties and taxes must be paid before your package can be delivered.
Payment
We accept payments by most major credit cards.
The full amount will be charged when we ship your order. If you pre-order items, the full amount will be charged when we receive the order.
Vouchers and promotions
Voucher codes cannot be combined with other campaigns or additional vouchers. Voucher codes are subject to expiration and are only applicable within the set date range. Vouchers can therefore not be applied to past or future orders that fall outside of the voucher’s valid dates. Promotions are not applicable on past orders.
Prices
Orders within Denmark will be charged in DKK, orders in all other countries will be charged in EUR. A. PETERSEN is not responsible for currency changes, and your bank determines the exchange rate that appears on your credit card statement.
