Halstrøm, Odgaard, Depping, Jørgensen
February 23 - May 27 2018

Dive into working methods, material considerations and inspirational objects, when the four designers Chris L. Halstrøm, Margrethe Odgaard, Line Depping and Jakob Jørgensen unfold both design processes and finished works at the exhibition that fills the entire first floor at Kløvermarksvej 70.

The four designers Chris L. Halstrøm, Margrethe Odgaard, Line Depping and Jakob Jørgensen work both very differently and very similar. Common to all of them is the desire to create designs that both fit and last for everyday use. Working towards this goal, they solve with great versatility, which you can experience at the exhibition. It can be an intuitive experiment that shed a new product, but it can also be a long dialogue and discussion that brings a new solution to live.

At the exhibition, the working processes have been exposed and in one area the objects have literally been unfolded and separated so that visitors can get an insight into how the four work. You also meet examples of products that are finished as they are due to the craft techniques used for manufacturing. Among the works at the exhibition is Chris L. Halstrøm’s very simple stool “Georg”, Margrethe Odgaard’s “Fold Unfold Fly” fabric, which makes a virtue of the tablecloth’s natural leaflet, Line Deppings “Tool Boxes” with yellow color graduations and Jakob Jørgensen’s “Poet’s Book Hanger “, which integrates bookmarks and bookshelf in one coherent design.

The exhibition is accompanied by an exhibition catalog with text by idea historian and author Kristine Harper on aesthetic sustainability.
– Aesthetic sustainability can be described as quality and expressive durability. An aesthetically sustainable object can be used, worn and aged, without losing its value; It may even become more interesting, beautiful, more valuable and more aesthetically nutritious over time, Kristine Harper explains about her contribution to the exhibition catalog.
