In the summer of 2025 Fredericia Furniture will be re-launching the iconic ‘Bench for Two’, designed by Danish architect Nanna Ditzel.

At A. Petersen we were asked to assist in this re-launch when the Ditzel family and Fredericia wished for a re-interpretation of the original colours of the Bench, and for a new take on the production. 

Back when the Bench for Two was launched at first in 1990, it was with a red dot surrounded by black curved lines. Because Nanna Ditzel was particularly known for her colourful designs, it was decided to follow here in this design as well.

The result is a collection of Bench for Two in red, yellow and pink, all with a black dot, to complement the original version.

The Bench for Two is exclusively sold via Fredericia Furniture – click here for contact info https://www.fredericia.com/sales – and is made in Denmark at Hudevad Furniture on Funen with Danish beech, Finnish beech plywood and German maple veneer. The colours are digitally printed by the printers at Strandbygaard in Jutland, on the veneer back-shells and tapletop.
